Serving Perspectives was born from our appreciation for deeper connection, healing conversations, and unfiltered truths. It’s our way of nurturing our 15+ years of friendship while also meeting old and new friends, family, and community exactly where they are across cultures, identities, and lived experiences — with the goal of learning, unlearning, venting, exchanging ideas, and growing in real time.
Serving Perspectives isn’t just a podcast but a curated space for both us, our listeners, and guests to relate, reflect, feel seen, and be enlightened. No topic is off limits. From lighthearted moments to deeper conversations, we explore the experiences, perspectives, and truths that shape us all.
Meet Us
Dominique Smith
Co FounderHeyy, I’m Dominique! Born and raised in the Bay Area, California, where I met my best friend and co-host, Keyana, back in high school. I earned my B.S. in Communications with a minor in Public Relations and have spent the last 7+ years building a career in Marketing and Communications industry, wearing just about every hat imaginable.
In 2021, I turned a childhood dream into reality and moved to New York City, where I expanded my career into Project Management, Content Production, and Experiential Producing. I'm a natural go-getter with a selective "outside" mentality these days, balancing ambition with my growing love for staying in.
I'm a music lover through and through—always at a concert, always building a playlist. I'm opinionated yet empathetic, value meaningful communication, and never shy away from a thoughtful conversation. My mind is full of random thoughts, I'm equal parts silly and reflective, I love a good nap, and I'm always down for great food. Most importantly, I'm excited to welcome you to Serving Perspectives, where authentic conversations and fresh viewpoints are always on the menu.
Keyana Reed
Hey y’all, it’s Keyana. I’m a San Francisco Bay Area baby, born and bred. I earned my B.A. in Linguistics and Sociology from San Diego State University. For the past decade, I’ve built a career in digital marketing, where I now lead digital and social strategy and content production for global beauty and lifestyle brands.
I’ve called New York City home for the past 5+ years, where I’ve continued to chase the creative life I always imagined for myself. Beyond my 9-to-5, I’m passionate about storytelling in all its forms, whether that’s producing creative projects, writing short stories, exploring new places, rediscovering dance, or simply sitting around a table having the kind of conversations that make you think long after they’re over.
Serving Perspectives was born from that love. I believe every person carries a story worth hearing, and that the best conversations don't always end with answers. Sometimes they leave us with better questions, new perspectives, and a little more empathy for one another.
